Animals are our friends.
Wild animals provide interesting video materials to the Discovery channel. Can you imagine if you could only watch people in all of their programs?
Our pets can be our best friends, because they will never tell our private things to another person.
Your dog will always be happy whenever you come home.
We would not enjoy life as much without such things.
So, what should we do? We should protect our animal friends, wild and domestic.

Animal Protection 动物保护
If you type "animal protection" in a search engine, the result usually contains information about "animal rights". Why is this so? Because to protect animals is to defend the rights of animals. We should treat animals with care, and they should also have their rights.
This earth is not only for human beings, but also other living creatures. I think of animals as like a present that God has given to humans. Animals make the world more colorful and we should share this world together. Try to think about only our human beings living in this globe; what a boring thing it would be!

Animal Protection Situation in China 中国动物保护现状
In China, we do some animal protection, but we pay more attention to protection of wild animals, especially those on the brink of extinction, such as panda(熊猫), milu deer(麋鹿),
Yangzi alligator(扬子鳄),white dolphin(白暨豚), black rhino(黑犀牛), and so on.
In China, common animals are not as lucky as these animals, because in some places, people eat dogs, snakes or even cats.
In the city, you can see stray dogs or cats on the roads. Some owners don't give the care they should to their pets. When the owners are tired of feeding pets, they abandom them.
But, there are still some kind hearted people in China. They do have a protection orgnization for small animals, and automaticly gather stray dogs and cats, offering medical care and food. The orgnization is called the China Small Animal Protection Association(中国小动物保护协会).
